Mid-benching process, the dirt went from different shades of brown and orange like a rainbow
As challenges arise in any project there are different ways to solve them, from rather procedural solutions, to more inventive ones. I favor the later, and as I began to have trouble carrying all of my tools down to the tool shed, I found a way to fit all of them in or on my backpack.
There are two rakes, each poking out each side, flags sticking out of my backpack, loppers between my back and the backpack(the handle is right above my shoulder), and the leaf blower over my shoulder, and my water bottles and all that jazz are inside the pack
If figuring out how to do that is not a good use of my time, I don't know what is.
Critter Cam
As I was looking for my vest this morning, I walked by the pond and saw two Canada geese floating around. They being on the other side of the pond I could not get a great picture of them, but at any rate, here it is.
Their pretty adorable, even from a distance
Any more gear and you'll need a pack board - or a mule!

ReplyDeleteI often use a pack basket for carrying my tools when doing trail work. LL Bean has a nice one. http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/40202?page=allagash-pack-basket
ReplyDeleteSome day I'll figure out how to keep this from double posting. :-(
ReplyDeleteJamie made a great suggestion to use a pack basket. Wow looks like you are pretty weighted down. Is there any way to maybe store some things on the trail? Maybe cover some stuff under a tree? Good luck. I love seeing the pics from the critter cam, and it is still a cool picture.
