I figure that I should probably be a little serious in some of my blog posts or reflections, but that would not be fun. This week was very interesting, from finding issues that arose, from my lack of calluses, to seeing cool things, super cute squirrels or chipmunks. I also did some trail stuff in between griping and taking wildlife photography. I have had a lot of time just to think and sing along to Mumford and Sons, so I have proceeded to psych myself out about college, get over it, then freak out about it and, again, get over it. I definitely felt much more prepared for the day by Friday and even though it was only a week, I had a much better idea of what I needed to do. Looking ahead at the weather, this coming week might be a bit dicey, if it is going to rain it might not be the best time to try to work in the woods, but I will find something to do. On Saturday I talked with Mr. Brewster, and he suggested that I go and look at some professionally done trail, so I might try to do that one day this week. Over all I feel that I am accomplishing my goals, and the ideas that Josh had for the area. I realize that there is a lot of work ahead for the mt. bike team, and that this trail could be a bane, but when it is finished it is gonna be so much fun to ride.
I also wrote a haiku.
Trails are fun to build
I like to be in the woods
Black flies suck a lot
Critter Cam
bet you though I forgot it
As I was not out doing work this weekend, I have a picture stored.
This is a squirrel on our fire pit at home, its freaking adorable.
Mr. Brewster? Who's that? After four years I though we were on a first name basis. Keep up the great work. Can wait to ride the trail. LOAM!
ReplyDeleteYou should also think about working for the Appalachian Mountain Club building trails next summer!
