Day Six, I need to work out

I've never been one to go to a weight room and work out. I find stationary bikes repulsive, free weights ugly, and treadmills are bad. This being said, I should do more working out. I have always found it is more fun to work out by doing work, shoveling, moving rocks, cutting trees with my bare hands, the list goes on and on. This morning I went for my first bike ride of the season, and barely made it up from the trail head before I kinda sorta fell over a bit. Over the rest of the ride it got easier, but made me realize that I, while being in objectively the best shape of my life, am not too in shape. On my ride I did a little bit of scouting for the next part of the trail, and then fearing it would start raining went down and did research on trail building. After lunch I went and helped David out with his work for the rest of the day. Shaping and building the rollers for the pump track.

I am going to go on a hike up sorta to balance rock and that direction, to look for some good terrain. It should be a nice day I think, so I am looking forward to a nice hike in the woods.

I did see a little bit of wildlife on my ride, another salamander Red Eft, in its terrestrial stage.(Lulu has corrected my identification)
It a cute one, he (or she) did not like me getting too close with my phone

  1. They used to call it "Farm Strong" when you can buck hay and work all day. Much more interesting and productive than a weight room.
